Shipping & Returns

Below are some common questions about shipping, returns, and exchanges

What is your shipping and delivery policy?

Leviathan 3D ships Australia-wide and to select international destinations. Available shipping options and costs are shown
at checkout.

Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days after payment confirmation.

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details.

Estimated delivery times (after dispatch):

  • Australia: 2–7 business days (depending on location)
  • International: 7–21 business days (depending on destination and customs processing)

Delivery times are estimates only.

Please ensure your shipping address is entered correctly at checkout. Leviathan 3D is not responsible for orders delayed or lost due to incorrect or incomplete address details provided by the customer.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Leviathan 3D ships to select international destinations. If your country is not listed, please contact us and we’ll do our best to assist.

Estimated delivery times after dispatch:

  • Standard international shipping: 7–21 business days
  • Express international shipping: 5–10 business days (where available)

International orders may be subject to customs duties, taxes, or import fees, which are the responsibility of the recipient. Leviathan 3D has no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount.

Customs delays are outside our control and may affect delivery times.

If your international order appears delayed or lost, please contact us with your order number.

Please note that international shipping investigations can take longer due to carrier and customs processes.

What is your return policy?

At Leviathan 3D, we stand behind the quality of our products.

Due to the nature of 3D printing filament, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect selection, or if the product has been opened or used.

If your order is unused, unopened, and in its original sealed packaging, you may request a return within 14 days of delivery.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days once the return or assessment is
completed.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund if a product:

  • Has a major failure
  • Is not of acceptable quality
  • Is not fit for its intended purpose
  • Does not match its description

Returns for international orders

International returns follow the same policy as domestic orders.

Return shipping costs for international orders are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is confirmed to be faulty.

Do you provide a warranty for the filament?

Leviathan 3D products come with consumer guarantees.

Our warranty applies to manufacturing defects, including:

  • Inconsistent filament diameter outside stated tolerances
  • Filament that arrives damaged or unusable
  • Packaging or vacuum seal failure on arrival

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by improper storage (exposure to moisture, heat, or sunlight)
  • Printer calibration issues, incorrect settings, or user error
  • Filament that has been used, modified, or respun

If you receive faulty or damaged filament, contact us within 30 days of delivery. Claims submitted outside this window may not be eligible.

To make a warranty claim, please provide:

  • Order number
  • Batch number
  • Description of the issue
  • Supporting photos or videos

Materials and Sustainability

Below are some of are common questions about materials, safety and sustainability

Why do you use reusable spools?

Reusable spools reduce single-use plastic while maintaining durability and performance. Customers can reuse the same spool across multiple filament purchases.

What is refill filament?

Refill filament is supplied on a cardboard core designed for use with our reusable spool system. The filament quality is identical to standard spooled filament.

Is the packaging recyclable?

Cardboard boxes and refill cores are recyclable where local facilities allow. Reusable spools should be reused or recycled responsibly.

Are your materials compliant with safety standards?

Our manufacturing partners comply with internationally recognised standards, where applicable, including:

  • RoHS
  • REACH
  • UKCA
  • TSCA (USA)

Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS) are available upon request.

Is Leviathan 3D filament safe to use?

Yes. Always operate printers in a well-ventilated area and follow standard 3D printing safety practices.

All thermoplastics emit odours and particles when heated:

  • PLA / PLA+: Low odour
  • PETG: Mild odour
  • ABS: Stronger fumes; ventilation or filtration is strongly recommended

Products

Below are some common questions about our filaments

Is your filament AMS compatible and suitable for all 3D printers?

Yes. Our filament is designed to be AMS compatible and works with most standard FDM 3D printers that accept 1.75 mm filament.

We use consistent diameter tolerances, smooth winding, and reusable spools designed to feed reliably through AMS systems and traditional spool holders alike.

How should I store my filament?

All filament is vacuum sealed with desiccant before shipping. Once opened, store filament:

  • In a cool, dry place
  • In an airtight container or resealable bag with desiccant

Moisture exposure can negatively affect print quality.

Do I need to dry my filament?

Drying is recommended if filament has been exposed to air or if print quality issues occur.

Typical drying guidelines:

  • PLA / PLA+: 45–50°C for 4–6 hours
  • PETG: 50–55°C for 4–6 hours
  • ABS: 65–75°C for 4–6 hours

Use a filament dryer or temperature-controlled oven designed for filament drying.

Does filament absorb moisture?

Yes. Most filaments, including PLA, PLA+, PETG, ABS, and specialty blends, are hygroscopic and absorb moisture from the air over time.

Moist filament can cause stringing, surface defects, and poor layer adhesion.

Is filament food-safe?

No. Unless otherwise specified, Leviathan 3D filament is not food-safe and is not intended for food-contact applications.
